With the fishing app data export import function you can export fishing data and easily transfer fishing data to another device – for example when switching phones. Transfer fishing data between devices with a simple backup that ensures your recorded sessions, catches and statistics are always preserved.

Requirement: Export & Import is only available with an active subscription. During the trial period, this function is not available – since you are working with test data during that time, a backup is not necessary.

Export – Save your data

During export, a file is created containing all relevant data from your app:

Fishing sessions
Catches and bites
Territories and statistics
Other app-internal information

You can then use this file to:

Save it on your device

Store it in a cloud (e.g. Google Drive, iCloud)
Transfer it to another smartphone

Recommendation: Create regular exports to additionally secure your data.

Import – Restore your data

The import is used to load previously exported data back into the app – for example on a new device or after a reinstallation.

Important: During import, all existing data in the app will be completely deleted. Then the data from the import file will be loaded.

This means:

Existing sessions will be removed
Current catches and bites will be deleted
Current data will be lost if not exported beforehand

Therefore: Always create a current export before each import. This ensures that no data is lost.

Perform export on the old device
Transfer the export file to the new device

Subscribe (if not already active)

All data is available again
